About Living Branch

Living Branch was established in 1997 as a new church plant in North Branch. Pastor Steve Ferber was called by the Minnesota North District of the LCMS to begin a new congregation in a city that had no Missouri Synod presence (the nearest LCMS church is 20 minutes away).  In 2014, the Holy Spirit brought us Micah Schmidt to be our new pastor. We are a Christ-centered, biblically conservative, informal, joyful congregation. We love the Lord and and His Word, and want to share Him with the world. We invite you to join us at Living Branch. Come as you are!

Our Mission: To Know Christ, and to Make Him Known

“To Know Christ…”

God’s will for each of us is to know Christ personally as our Lord and Savior by grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, and to grow daily in our faith so that we can know Him more and more in our lives. Our congregation exists to nurture the faith of God’s people, 1 Peter 2:2 - “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.”

“…And To Make Him Known”

God’s will is that we make Him known to the world.

Matthew 28:19,20 says “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything I have commanded you…”

Our congregation exists to share the Good News of Jesus and His love with the North Branch community and the entire world, so that “all peoples” will come to know Jesus as Lord through faith in Him.

How will we fulfill our mission?

To fulfill our mission, we commit ourselves to dynamic, Christ-centered worship, small-group Bible studies, support groups aimed at meeting real needs, service projects to help the hurting with the love of Christ, and evangelism efforts at the local, national, and world levels.

We commit ourselves to joyfully serving and equipping children, youth, and adults until the day our Lord returns in glory to take us home!
